Wow, it has been forever since I posted!!!!!  Life has a way of interfering :)  Have been dealing with some family issues (mom has been really ill and am going to be a 1st time gramma soon) and trying to paint paint paint to get ready for my holiday shows!!  LOTS of pics today....first is a couple of little tin pockets, painted with Plum Purdy designs...great for tucking a gift card into!!
A couple more tin pockets.....have to paint cats for my kitty lover friends :)
Santa on a tin pocket, more Renee Mullins...hard to see but lots of glitter on this :)
Cute little chicken ornies, pattern by Cyndi Combs.....something a little different for the christmas tree
Darling Santas....also a Cyndi Combs pattern....she is one odf my current fave designers
Dogs and kitties....these went quick!!  Have a couple set aside for a friend, but the others zoomed off the tree.....
More Cyndi Combs designs....this snowie is soooo sweet!!
 Never have enough Santas......
or Americana......this pot found a new home at the last show......
This scale was so much fun to paint....love how it turned out......
If it sits still in my house, it gets painted, including the softballs :)
 another softball.......
I started these tiny tin pockets last year, and finally got them finished!!!!
The pattern for this darling tin lunch bucket is by my dear friend Lisbeth Stull....she is soooo talented!!!
Simple board signs....rescued the wood from a friend's burn pile :)
 More signs.....
And more signs....I was asked if I stencil my signs, and the answer is no......I use stencils to trace on the design, but I hand-paint in the letters....much more time-consuming but I prefer the look of handpainted :)
Coffee signs are hot this year....this pattern is by Kim Klassen....done on recycled wood
More signs....designs for these by Kim Klassen, all done on recycled wood......
Cute little Halloween box, spider courtesy of my friend Helen Wyrich :)
Simple Halloween boxes.....design by Jan Coffey....
And one last sign, also a Kim Klassen design......

Winter projects

Has been a long long time since I posted :(
Have been crazy busy with craft shows and work.....but lots of pics to make up for lost time....first is a basket with a darling little winter scene.....not sure of the designer, was a class project....I believe the pattern was out of PaintWorks magazine
Next are some cute little canister-style ornaments, Cyndi Combs pattern....painted three sets (12 total) and they all sold!!
Snowmen pattern by the uber-talented Deb Antonick....used her new stencils for the details....painted the ornies first and has so much fun, I had to paint some candy dishes to go along with them!!
I love to paint on vintage suitcases, and I love Mary Jo Tuttle's Santa Claus patterns.....a perfect pairing!!
Another Cyndi Combs pattern...cute little snowies, gingers and Santas

More Mary Jo Tuttle Santas, ornament size
I love to paint signs and this is a fave....from a Kim Klassen pattern
 And another KK sign......
Some simple little marble magnets I painted...after I took the pic I realized the snowman face was upside down :)
A little sheep on a nite light cover......
These are from a Sue Allemand pattern...original was painted on bottles, I adapted to wood....
Took a SNOW stencil and added a Cyndi Combs snowie face......
Adapted from a Barb Jones/Snow Jobs pattern.......

Cute little sled ornaments, adapted from a Lori Cagle/Artists Club design
More Cyndi Combs snowies.....she is a new favorite!!
And of course, I have to do Renee Mullins.....love these kitty cats......the middle one went home with my friend Marie.....
And another one of Renee's patterns, on a vintage briefcase.....
And another Mary Jo Tuttle Santa design, adapted for this nite light cover
Found this simple little architectural piece at a garage sale....and it just screamed snowman at me.....I think he turned out well......

Be sure to check out my Facebook page (Primworks) and Pinterest boards (Primworks by Cyndy McBride) for more pictures.....

I am hoping to set up an Etsy page to sell some of my pieces later this year....watch for progress reports on that.....

Happy painting!!

Painting Renee Mullins......

Just a quick post today to show off two new Renee Mullins "Plum Purdy" pieces I finished last week.....
First picture is an adaptation of her "Bless Our Winter Home" pattern....I adapted it to a wood piece I already had....
Second picture is from her "Snow Drifter" pattern packet....her original was painted on an old suitcase (which I love!!!!!!) but since I didn't have any suitable, I substituted this framed wood piece.....I just love her snowmen!!!

It is beautiful sunny weather in the Puget Sound area today, so I am headed outside.....I hate yardwork, but if I have to do it, I would rather do it when the sun is shining....plus it is perfect weather to spray-prime some metal pieces I have been wanting to paint :)

Working on some Terrye French "Painting With Friends" pieces, hope to post those pics in a day or two. I just love primitives......
