Check out my little visitor.....

This female peacock (peahen??) showed up in my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago, and she wanders up to my porch every few days.......

Talked to Animal Control; they said she and her male partner showed up in South Tacoma about 6 months ago and have been moving about the area ever since....they think they may have a nest nearby.....Animal Control can't/won't do anything with them since they are "wildlife". They said she likely hangs out at my house on my porch bcuz she likes looking at herself in my sliding glass door. Guess they like to see their reflection. She is very pretty, but I don't want her roosting in my yard. It is driving my dogs absolutely bonkers!!!!! They think they own the neighborhood anyways, add in one brightly colored bird and it makes for a big ruckus!!

Didn't get much painting done today, too busy watching "American Pickers". It is fast turning into one of my fave shows. I wish I could happen along some of the places they get to dig thru.....

Back in a day or two.....

It's starting to look alot like Christmas.........

A new piece that I just finished today. Having my unfinished projects across from my painting desk has paid off!!!!! I started this piece 8 or 9 months ago, and then set it aside for some reason, don't know why......since I re-did my painting space, I have to look at my unfinished projects every time I sit down to paint......so I decided it was time to get working on them!!!!!!

I also have finished a couple of more rustic pieces, but no pics of those today.....will post those later in the week. Working on a bunch of Christmas ornaments right now, hope to have them finished by tomorrow.

This piece is adapted from an older Renee Mullins pattern.....it's never too early to paint Christmas!!!!

My daughter brought home another Christmas music CD tonite.....so far I have resisted putting it into the CD player and blasting away with "Jingle Bells"!!! But I have an rule about no Christmas music until at least October........

This was a weird week.....what they say about the full moon affecting people is absolutely true!!!!! Had all kinds of strange things happening at work, people acting weird in the street.....just overall a weird weird week. One nice thing that happened is I reconnected with an old friend from California. We haven't talked in over 15 years, but it was like old times on the phone. Meredith, Kim and I were like the Three Musketeers. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Kim in over 10 years, I may have to start searching for her now.......

Time to relax with a cold Pepsi now.....back in a few days!!!!!

My new space!!

Just a pic of my new painting space. Have been so wrapped up in getting it situated that I haven't been painting much. As you can see, the room is pretty small (just 9ft by 9ft) so it's a little crowded, but I can close the door, shut out the world and paint to my hearts content.........

Imagine this space painted bright fuchsia......it took three coats of paint/primer mix to cover that intense color!!! So now it is white, all white!!!

Took some time this weekend to head down south to the new Tumwater Antique & Craft Fair, next to the Tumwater Farmer's Market. Lots of great deals, loved seeing Pole Barn Primitives there. Can wait for the next one!!!

Hope to have a couple of projects finished by this weekend....working on a great Terrye French Halloween piece....plus I am determined to finish at least one of my "unfinished" projects. When I arranged my new painting room, I stored the unfinished stuff on the shelf directly in front of my desk.....so every time I sit down to paint, I have to look at them......this will be great incentive to get some of them finished!!!!

Off to the groomers with the dogs. They are lookin' pretty scruffy and smellin' kinda funky!!
Back in a few days!!
