Painting Renee Mullins......

Just a quick post today to show off two new Renee Mullins "Plum Purdy" pieces I finished last week.....
First picture is an adaptation of her "Bless Our Winter Home" pattern....I adapted it to a wood piece I already had....
Second picture is from her "Snow Drifter" pattern packet....her original was painted on an old suitcase (which I love!!!!!!) but since I didn't have any suitable, I substituted this framed wood piece.....I just love her snowmen!!!

It is beautiful sunny weather in the Puget Sound area today, so I am headed outside.....I hate yardwork, but if I have to do it, I would rather do it when the sun is shining....plus it is perfect weather to spray-prime some metal pieces I have been wanting to paint :)

Working on some Terrye French "Painting With Friends" pieces, hope to post those pics in a day or two. I just love primitives......

It's Starting to Look Alot Like Christmas!!

I've been in a Christmas mood the last several days....hence the holiday theme to today's post......

First picture is of some cute rusty tin cans painted with four different little snowmen...from a Sue Allemand pattern.

Next is a door crown featuring a Santa by MaryJo Tuttle from one of her "Tuttle's Touches" books. Mine is a little more "distressed" than her pattern. but that is what I love....
the wood came from Country Expressions in Purdy...they are clearing everything out and closing up shop :(

Lots more Christmas in the works, check back soon for more.

Sue Allemand and Kim Klassen

It has been a while since I posted.....have been dealing with a very sick kitty and busy busy busy at work.....the kitty went to kitty-heaven yesterday and my audit is done so now I have time to breathe....

Several signs and some Christmas stuff to post today, all based on patterns by Sue Allemand and Kim Klassen....

First two pictures show signs from Kim Klassen patterns, done on old wine crate boards.

Fourth pic is also based on one of Kim's designs.....love the saying!!! Plus you can never go wrong with a saltbox house.......

Last picture shows three different tin pockets painted with snowmen faces, from a Sue Allemand design. Loved these so much I painted 2 of each!!

Am working on several more Christmas pieces and
some "everyday" things too. Trying hard to build up stock for the upcoming shows.

As of right now, I am committed to 5 shows this fall/winter (Country Creations in Bellevue in October, plus Funky Junk Sisters Junk Salvation, Spanaway Lake High School, Renton Community Center and Peninsula High School in November.) Busy busy busy.....

Hope to post some new pics later this week. Check back soon!!
