This is a darling little Christmas pattern by Deb Richey painted on a vintage handbag.
Painting on this surface was a real challenge!! It is not very rigid, so it would move or squish down whenever I tried to add details or shading. If I do this again, I will definitely stuff the piece first........
I plan to wrap the handles with homespun fabric to finish it off. Would look really cute with some greenery peeking out of the top, or holding your Christmas cards!!
Still frantically trying to finish a couple more pieces before the show this weekend....not sure it will happen, they may have to wait for the show at Spanaway Lake!!
